Marco is an accomplished real estate and public-private partnership (PPP) professional with extensive experience in property management, investment analysis, and infrastructure development. He currently serves as a PPP Coordinator and Principal Estate Officer at the Tanzania Buildings Agency (TBA), where he plays a strategic role in structuring and managing PPP projects aimed at enhancing Public Infrastructure and optimizing asset performance.
Marco holds a Master of Science in Construction Economics and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment, both of which have equipped him with strong analytical and financial modelling skills relevant to large-scale real estate and infrastructure projects.
He is currently finalizing his thesis on “The Prospects of PPP Financing in Tanzania” as part of his Master of Arts in Valuation and Property Management at the University of Nairobi – Kenya, reflecting his deep interest in innovative financing mechanisms for sustainable development. In addition, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the Open University of Tanzania (OUT), further strengthening his expertise in legal and regulatory frameworks governing real estate, construction and PPP arrangements.
Prior to his current role at TBA, Marco gained valuable experience working with prominent Public Institutions in Tanzania. He served as a Property Manager at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), where he was involved in managing high-value real estate. He also worked as a Senior Estate Officer at the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), contributing to effective Estate Management and property optimization within a key regulatory body. Marco was instrumental (Construction Committee Secretary) in the construction brand new Pan-African Postal Union (PAPU) House worth of 21 Million USD in Arusha – Tanzania.
Marco began his professional career in the private sector at Knight Frank Tanzania, where he worked for four years. During this period, he gained extensive experience in property valuation, real estate advisory, market analysis and investment. His time at Knight Frank provided a strong foundation on international standards in real estate.
Marco`s multidisciplinary background-spanning real estate, economics, law and PPPs, position him as a well-rounded professional capable of bridging technical, financial and legal aspects of complex development projects. He is particularly passionate about leveraging PPP models to unlock investment in commercial real estate and affordable housing and Public infrastructure in Tanzania and across Africa.
