Femi Adewole is a housing finance professional and architect with over 34 years’ experience in housing finance, development and project management. He has recently retired as the founding  Managing Director at the Family Homes Funds Ltd  – a Nigeria-focused affordable housing development and finance company promoted by the Nigeria Sovereign Wealth Fund and the Ministry of Finance Incorporated.

Prior to joining the Family Homes Funds, he was Ag Managing Director at Shelter Afrique, the Nairobi-based Pan African Housing Development and Finance Institution. He has also held Director positions in some of the largest housing companies in the United Kingdom, including Notting Hill Housing Group –  one of London’s largest affordable housing providers with over 100,000 homes under management where he was Group Operations Director and the Guinness Partnership, where he was Investment Director responsible for one of the largest housing programmes.

Femi’s current focus is developing afro-centric housing and infrastructure finance solutions which address the unique context of predominatly low income and informal economies in Sub-Saharan Africa. This includes growing a new generation of housing and real estate professionals to take advantage of the enormous opportunities offered by population growth and the demand for housing in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

He is currently Chairman, Cooperative Mortgage Bank and Lead Consultant at Urban Economics International, advising public and private sector-based clients on Urban Infrastructure Projects.
